Two wheels and a tweed cap…
Lovers of sartorial style and the fabled cloth will be out in force around Trafalgar Square for this year’s Tweed Run

Lovers of stylish perambulation and elegant attire will be out in force this Saturday for the 7th iteration of the iconic Tweed Run. Starting in Trafalgar Square, the gentle cycle will take in the sights of West London before ending at the appropriately smart Art-Deco Bloomsbury Ballrooms. Hailed as, “the bike ride that bought sartorial elegance back to the bicycle”, Pol Roger and Cordings of Piccadilly will also be amongst the stands to add that certain je ne sais quoi to the proceedings.
Riddle caught up with the Run’s production manager Pierre Gouverneur whilst he was being fitted in Cordings with their house tweed. Chatting with him, he was confident that this year would live up to the high standards of tweedy flair expected from such an event, though he commented on the ever greater burden of traffic, health and safety liaison with the correct London authorities. As part of this, he said the actual route can only be released on the day.
Places on the run itself have now unfortunately been filled, tickets for the after bash are still available at £20.
