Sam began his design career in packaging before moving into publishing at Thames & Hudson. He specialised in fashion and graffiti titles, designing Savile Row by James Sherwood and Graffiti World by Nicholas Ganz. Sam then left London for a life in the tropics, moving to Singapore for several years where he was art director of Revolution and The Rake magazines. Returning to the UK in 2013, Sam co-founded the design studio By the Sky Design.
