August is upon us and unless the weather is behaving in typically unpredictable fashion, the sun should be out and it should be the middle of summer. As it was, the summer gods were smiling over the weekend and the weather was perfect to try some gelato. A stroll through the park helped build up a sense of anticipation of the cooling reward waiting for me and when it came time there were three flavours to try.
Strawberry & Apple
What a way to start! Cooling and full of flavour, this was devoured quickly with, literally, the bowl licked clean.
Honey & Banana
Having tried the Strawberry & Apple, there were high hopes for this and the first half of the sample disappeared quickly. The second half of the sample stayed in the bowl. Too sweet for this reviewer.
Apple, Banana & Carrot
I have to admit some trepidation after the sweetness of the Honey & Banana and the first mouthful was with some hesitancy. My apprehension quickly evapourated and the rest of this flavour went down a treat. Whoof!!
