Christmas under The Ivy
Theatreland institution teams up with luxury online Alexander & James to bring some festive party cheer.
Alexander & James, the luxury online spirits emporium have gone into partnership with The Ivy to lay on a festive feast to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Guests will be able to sample a collection of cocktails, mixed by Alexander & James’ s Kenji Jesse, crafted to enhance the seasonal menu.
The Riddle was able to sample of selection of the drinks and food available in this exciting team-up. A carefully constructed menu includes seared scallops with cauliflower mousseline and maple bacon crisps, Beef Wellington with wild mushrooms, wilted spinach and madeira jus and chocolate panettone crunch bombe with mandarin – all served to the standard one would expect of this iconic West End institution.
Cocktails were wide ranging and uniformly excellent; made with the best spirits Alexander and James have sourced.
Whether the most refreshing, classic aperitif to the more unusual, say a Chocolate Old Fashioned, there will be a drink to appeal to even the most jaded taste buds.
A limited number of these luxury seasonal package are available until the end of the year subject to availability and excluding the Bank Holidays. All food, napery, glassware and serving staff is included for parties of up to ten. Dependent upon party size, prices are up to £4,500.
Although a reasonably new online presence, Alexander & James has over fifty years heritage behind it. Part of Diageo, the name is a tribute to two of the great spirit masters, Alexander Walker II and James Buchanan. As well as their partnership with the Ivy, the luxury spirits house also offer private and corporate mixology events, private events bars and bespoke whiskey tastings.
