Raise a Glass to Summer…..

Ahhhh… Summer… Pimms… Ascot… travel - in fact rather a lot of things…

Dear Reader,

I write this the day after the Spring Bank Holiday when admittedly… it does not feel very summery. However, we must trust in the weather forecasters who assure us of heatwaves and flooding. Good old Blighty. To ensure you are correctly shod for the nicer of those options, Andy Barnham and Nicolas Payne-Baader hunted out some stylish loafers for the month’s shoot.

Should the allure of an English summer not be enough to cancel out and abate one’s wanderlust, we range far and wide this month from Kate Morfoot nosing around the Seychelles to Sophie Aghdami sniffing out some foodie delights in Marrakech. Victoria Kerly considers the very funky Museum Art Hotel in Wellington, New Zealand.

For those in search of horological inspiration, we welcome the Watch Atelier to the fold with the first of his monthly columns and those seeking advice on the facial fuzz, help is at hand with Pall Mall Barbers. Non travelling foodies delight as Charlie Fletcher gives the Gardener’s Cottage in Edinburgh a resounding thumbs up and Sam Sidna dines amongst denim in East London.

Sporting types amongst our readership will no doubt be aware of rugby 7s coming inclusion in the Rio Olympics and with this in mind, Andy Barnham chewed the fat with Oli Phillips – ex England rugby 7s captain – about our chances for Rio, who the watch out for and generally needing to be a tad fitter than full 15-a-side… Oli himself (being an adventurous sort) will also be pondering the delights of insane African marathons and other pottiness in his new column for us.

So it’s all go really. As ever my thanks to all our contributors for their steadfast support and writing ability. Here’s to a jolly month of weddings, races, boating and general fun…

Best Wishes,
