Editor’s Letter September 15

Riddle spreads our wings as we start year 2

Letter by Rupert Watkins

Dear Reader,

The month of relaxation and holiday has seen the Riddle team – gimlet eyed – sweating over this latest issue. Despite the time flying by, I know it won’t be the first time I say it seems only a second since I was typing the last Editor’s letter, everyone continues to have a lot of fun pulling this magazine together for you. Including Gypsy don’t you girl……woof….. woof….. hmmm well quite – she doesn’t have to proof read or write anything….

This month sees our motoring and foodie teams spread their wings. Our new motoring fanatic Marc Stickley, will be testing out the new Volvo V40, whilst Sophie Agdhami and Lara Lockwood prowl around the eateries of Mayfair and Brighton at Brasserie Chavot and The Salt Room respectively. Despite the understated swell of vague interest around a certain B Cumberbatch Esq, our green room chap, Geoffrey Ledwell, noses around theatre land to prove there’s plenty of new, bold and high quality productions taking wing this month.

Our Creative Director Andy has – and will be busy (who knew sticking a lens in someone’s face was that exhausting). Early this month, he will shooting skywards to take some snaps at the Shangri-La hotel in the Shard (hmm a lot of s’s there) for our mid-month fashion shoot.

The end of this month also sees Riddle’s first collaboration as a media partner. The Independent’s Club is running a week long pop up show for a small number of bespoke and craft exhibitors in Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge. Should you find yourself in the vicinity of Harrods (well, one has to get the grocery shop somewhere) between the 24 – 30 September drop by to glance over the tailors, shirtmakers and other top –notch firms showing and say hello to one of the Riddle team.

Best Wishes riddle_stop 2
