James Bond has been spotted in the Burlington Arcade emporium’s knitwear in Spectre stills

The name’s Peal. N. Peal. It’s corny I know but hey…… still rather cool. MI6’s finest has been spotted in the Burlington Arcade shop’s sweaters in various released imagery from the 24th Bond instalment. Chatting with current owner Adam Holdsworth - whilst trying to not fondle too obviously the luxurious and tactile sweaters, coats and gilets - the Bond franchise actually approached N. Peal. After various consultations a number of designs and colours were created before a short list of two or three were sent to the film’s costume department for final acceptance. Master B certainly knows where to head when he needs a spot of cashmere.

Away from the magic of film, the firm is doing rather well. Adam reckons well over 50 per cent of their custom is now international which hugely aids all year round sales; buyers traveling through London in mid-July will be thinking and buying for winter. Peal’s Autumn 2015 collection definitely fulfils all the needs of any cashmere lover. Our eye was drawn to a chunky zip collared sweater and a comfortable looking hooded gilet. Just the things to keep you warm as the weather starts to turn whether running around town or waiting amongst the corn stubble for the next drive. riddle_stop 2
