What does one do the night before BAFTA? Go to Charles Finch’s party of course!
The Night Before BAFTA is the new offering from British businessman, film maker, entrepreneur (my the list goes on) and PR, Charles Finch, published by Assouline. The book features both candid and posed shots from Finch’s celeb filled pre- BAFTA parties, held at Annabel’s since 1999 and as you would expect from such an offering, the book unashamedly drops and oozes names at every turn. With a forward by John Malkovich and interspersed with anecdotes, the photos show guests such as Tom Ford, Tom Cruise, Ralph Fiennes, Cate Blanchett and Naomi Watts (to name but a few) in various stages of laughter and merriment. Finch’s trick to ensure the party goes well? ‘The key to be being a good host is to keep well lubricated.’ 
British Academy of Film and Television Arts 2016 will take place on Sunday 14th February and shown on BBC1 at 9pm.
