Yes of course, the experiences in my life, good and bad have made me the person I am today!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
There have been several pieces of advice I have been given over the years and that I follow in my day to day life.
- Always be honest with yourself and ask the question “is this food good enough”.
- The six “P’s”: Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance.
- Consistency is the key, every day.

What’s the weirdest rumour you’ve ever heard about yourself?
None so far!!!!

What was your biggest break?
Securing a job with Bruno Loubet in the kitchens of the Four Seasons Hotel on Park Lane in 1989. He changed my whole culinary life and pushed me harder to succeed!

Do you consider yourself lucky?
No, not really, I believe in honest hard work will get you through in life.

What’s most important in your life?
My two children – Luke and Ella.

What brands do you admire?
Omega – I am the proud owner of an Omega Seamaster.

Do you have a guilty pleasure – if so what is it?
Clay pigeon shooting, open water swimming and the very occasional a cold Cobra beer!!

Describe your personal sense of style.
Simple and classic, but not flashy! I only buy well made brands that last – Sunspel, Levis, Belstaff, John Smedley, Timberland. riddle_stop 2
