Troubadour leather expands their range of minimalist, stylish and beautifully crafted wares

Article by Rupert Watkins

Troubadour leather goods have been making waves with their well-designed and meticulously crafted bags for some time now. With their emphasis on using the best unsprayed, vegetable tanned Italian leather and top-notch brassware, founders Samuel Bail and Abel Samet wanted these bags to last, wear and age beautifully.

In keeping with the very modern and sleek design aesthetic the Troubadour team seek, their new additions to their selection of bags and rucksacks are similarly minimalist, functional and beautifully crafted. They will hit the website and shelves come December 1st and will include a rucksack, man’s tote, barrel and weekender bags. Having concentrated on full leather goods until now, the brand is now branching out to include pieces in open weave nylon and technical canvas. The colours are similarly muted akin to their full leather wares. The team have a feeling their navy fabric weekender bag will be a hit once it hits the marketplace and they have seen a lot of interest in their initial test versions of their men’s tote bag.

This increase in range is the biggest development for Troubadour since their launch two years ago. Along with concessions in this country at places such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols, the brand has from the beginning done a huge amount of its business online. 50 per cent of trade in done in the US and Sam and Abel are looking to run a pop up in New York this winter. With the incoming selection offering price points for their bags down to £200 to sit alongside their more expensive full leather briefcases and bags sitting at around £800 and £1,100 respectively, there is now an even better reason for chivvying the better half to have a peak at Troubadour’s website this Christmas……. riddle_stop 2
