New Arrival Hits its Top Notes

Former legal eagle Rob Hallmark’s Gruhme has launched a refined eau de toilette

Article by Rupert Watkins

Despite the profusion of men’s fragrances now flooding the market, none quite appealed to Rob Hallmark. So he created his own. Swapping the world of corporate law for men’s grooming, he struck out to found Gruhme which launched its first eau de toilette online towards the end of last year. Working with one of the country’s top manufacturers for both the actual fragrance and packaging, Rob has created a fresh, uplifting and versatile scent with top notes of lemon, lavender and bergamot sitting on a base of patchouli, cedar and petitgrain. It’s sharp (without being too sharp), refreshing and lasted well on this wearer’s skin. Presented in stark and minimalist packaging, this is an elegant addition to any dapper gents dressing table.

Based in Birmingham, Gruhme has concentrated on an online presence though one local barbers now stocks the edt and Rob is working with a couple of local hotels to use the scent in diffusers.  A second, heavier and more evening oriented fragrance is in the works as are a range of shaving requisites – all using the finest ingredients and made in the UK.  At half the price of many of its competitor brands but lacking none of the quality, Riddle is keeping an eagle eye on Gruhme’s activities…  riddle_stop 2
